Dear Dig Diary,
Today we started the initial dig. After some brief explanation of the excavation process, our class started to dig in our assigned quadrants. The Flag Stickers, Allison, Cassie, Cyrus, and I started to uncover a whole lot of dirt and rocks. We sifted, examined, and searched for any artifacts. We also looked for anything that might have been left behind by the early group on hominids that once inhabited the area. We found nothing, but our hopes are high. We have a good feeling we are going to uncover some amazing artifacts from the past.
