Dig Day #4
Dear Dig Diary,
Today was a day filled with some absolutely amazing discoveries. We started out by switching quadrants. Each group rotated one quadrant counterclockwise. After that we started the archeological dig for the 4th time. Some of the groups started to dig down into layer two of their quadrant. Our group, Ally, Cyrus, and I, (Cassie was absent.) couldn’t make the time to dig too much farther because we uncovered some pretty amazing artifacts from the past. Ally made the first dig and we uncovered the tip of an interesting piece of wood. After a while, we found another artifact. A dagger was found in the upper left corner. After the dagger there was an ancient cave painting uncovered from the rocky, dry, dirt. After that there was an item that was thought to be either a flute or a bone of some sort. It was a major day in the excavation category of the dig. We hope to find more artifacts tomorrow too.
