Today we all split into our groups and finished our grid. Each side length is two meters and twenty cm. We split the square into four quadrants. My group was assigned quadrant D. Before we did any ground breaking we drew our quadrant and shoed all of the rocks and sticks on the ground. On the same sheet that we drew our quadrant we wrote down any artifacts that we thought were important, and bagged them up. Today we started digging. Our plan was to dig ten centimeters a day, but we did not exceed our goal. First we had to take out the rest of the rocks and sticks in our quadrant. After we did that Anouk, Merrill, and I started digging out all of the big hard pieces of dirt. After all of the big clumps of dirt were gone, I started digging. Anouk helped dig and Merrill sifter through the dirt that we put in the buckets.
